Are you a Legal Permanent Resident with a “green card”? We hope you’ll take the next step to U.S. citizenship with our FREE citizenship classes.
Since June 2012, Unidos Bridging Community and Lutheran Community Services Northwest have collaborated to provide citizenship classes to students in Yamhill County. We offer two-three sessions per year. Each session is an eight week program, covering the 100 US civics and education questions on the USCIS exam. The Immigration and Legal Support Team at Lutheran Community Services presents an overview of the process to submit the appropriate paperwork to USCIS and what the naturalization interview will be like.
Classes are offered in English and Spanish. Students are encouraged to participate in the class in the language they will be taking the test.
*Classes are currently being facilitated virtually via zoom due to the pandemic.
The teachers and assistants are community volunteers who enjoy helping immigrant students achieve their goals.
If you would like more information, or wish to volunteer to assist with the classes, please contact Jordan.
